Grapevine is cultivated on more than 7.3 million hectares worldwide and is one of the primary crops in many European Union Member States. Modern viticulture is increasingly challenged by climate change and human-driven pressures, which lead to biodiversity loss and negatively impact both vineyard ecosystems and the economic sustainability of winegrowers. Thus, there is a need to explore the potential effectiveness of Nature-Based Solutions to mitigate this challenge while maintaining the suitability of grape production.
